Technology in gaming is becoming more advance and mind blowing. So many game consoles and games, sometimes it can make it a bit hard to chose exactly what game console or game to chose. In my opinion Playstation 3 is the best complete package and Ill tell you why.

The first reason I got a Playstation 3 was the graphics, which made things look so darn real. Playing a game that looks so real brings excitement in game play. It also pulls the gamer into the game, connecting the gamer to the game. When I play any game on my PS3 every detail is as if it is real.

The second is a game console with free online play of any game that has online play. Not only do you have to pay to connect to the internet, but with a Xbox there is a monthly fee just to play other people online. With the PS3 not only is it free to play online but any game you play is free to play others online.

The third reason is that not only console play games its a Blue-ray player. Crystal clear imaging not only in the game but movies as well. You can watch regular DVDs and Blue-ray DVDs disc. Blue-ray technology makes the movie pop out right in your face, I would say the closet experience to 3D as you can get

Lastly you can surf the internet, save pictures/videos all from a wireless controller/remote. This console acts as a modem and surfs the web, any page comes up as the regular internet and pictures can be stored to view later. Also many other setting like Bluetooth management, make this a awesome gaming system chat rooms, and it even saves your different friends to play them later if you like.

In my conclusion if your thinking about getting a PS3 don't hesitate. This console has everything you need in it from internet to playing people across the world, to Blue-ray movies. If your undecided look into the PS3 which is the best.

The Ps3 is amazing console, but it is not perfect. Usually, the ps3 does not have any problems, but things can happen. Normally, it is the Xbox 360 who has a lot of problems with the hard drive, internet connection and the console itself. The ps3 problems are usually the blinking red light problem and display issues.

Blinking red light problem: This problem is with the hard drive. This is the biggest problem you can have with your ps3. To fix this problem, you will need to reset your hard drive. If you are able to, you will need to open your ps3, take out the hard drive, wait for a couple of minutes and put it back. If you want stay on the safe side, get it fixed by Sony. If you have the warranty, it will cost about 150$. If you do not, unfortunately, you will need to buy a new ps3.

Display issues: Display problems can easily be solved. There are 2 ways to fix them. You can either rest the console or you can reset the display. Do not worry, this time you will not need to open your console. The best thing to do when this problem occurs, press the power button till the ps3 restarts. Then, a screen will appear and from there you reset the display setting or you can adjust them.

So, I hope your ps3 problems get solved and that you get back to playing your playsation 3. Good luck and hope I gave you enough information on how to fix your ps3 problems.

It really amazes me how many auction descriptions you'll find on eBay that have been incorrectly spelt, especially as ebay include a spell checker when you're writing your auction description, for example 'playstation is often 'plastation', 'playstatoin', 'palystation', 'playsation'. Believe it or not, but you can profit from these mistakes as when someone tries to search for an item using the correct spelling the misspellings do not show in the search results. You'll find that the misspelling auctions usually have fewer bids on, as potential buyers cannot find them.

If you can find these misspellings then you can purchase them at a low price, and relist for a profit by using the correct spelling. So by using the site below they're not hidden and will show in the search results.

You have two options in finding these misspellings, the first is to physically search eBay which is time consuming and a total nightmare or the second is to use a website that can find these gems. You will find such misspellings finders via any search engine or use the one listed below, just enter the correct spelling like 'playstation' (without the quotes) and then select the eBay site you would like to search and the site will return auctions for playstation that have been misspelt. It's as easy as that, visit the site and try out the playstation example and see what hidden auctions you can find. You'll be totally amazed by the misspellings and what cheap deals you can find.

You don't have to relist them on ebay, but if you do, all you need to do is correct the original description.

The new Sony Play Station is a 32 bit videogame console of fifth generation. Launched by Sony Computer Entertainment in December 1994, it was the first of the ubiquitous PlayStation series of console and hand-held game devices. It was the first the PlayStation and PS video game console to reach the 100 million mark. Sony had plans of developing a Nintendo compatible, which was a Sony-branded console more of a home entertainment system playing based on the format used in SNES-CD discs but later got it shelved. .

The PlayStation was launched for the first time in Japan in 1994, later in the U.S. in 1995 and the Europe in the same year. It tasted a huge success in the American continent which was repeated by its successor, the PlaySation 2. The logo of the PlayStation was designed by Manabu Sakamoto, who also designed the logo for Sony's VAIO computer products. PlayStation enjoyed one of the longest production runs in the video game industry since its launch eleven years back.

In the production run, the Sony PlayStation had to experience various variants, mostly accompanied by a change in the part number. The Sony Play Station was earlier based on substantially the same hardware as the SCPH-750x and 900x, other model consoles, but with a deleted the serial port, the controller / memory card ports moved to the main PCB and the power supply replaced with a DC-DC converter which was also on the main PCB.

Sony also released a version dubbed "Dual Shock" later, which included a controller with 2 analog sticks and a built in force-feedback feature.

What is eBay Arbitrage? Find out how to make a profit selling other peoples stuff!

What is arbitrage?

Put simply, arbitrage is the purchase of an item on one market for immediate sale on another market in order to profit from a discrepancy in the price between those markets.

Arbitrage is a term more commonly used in the worlds financial and securities markets where, for example, traders search out and take advantage of differences in currency prices between different county’s currency markets.

In any situation where a difference in price of a product, service or item exists an arbitrage opportunity presents itself because it allows you to buy at the lower price and sell for the higher price making a profit in-between.

eBay arbitrage

So what does arbitrage have to do with eBay and how can you apply the concept to make a profit?

Every day, sellers list items on eBay in inappropriate categories or with poorly worded, incorrect or misspelled titles and descriptions. Due to the way that most people search for items on eBay (by entering keywords in the search box) these poorly listed auctions are hidden from the vast majority of buyers.

Given the sheer volume of auctions being listed and running at any one time, these poorly listed auctions are a constant source of potential arbitrage opportunities.

Lets take a look at the different types of arbitrage opportunities on eBay…

Misspelled titles and descriptions

Taking advantage of misspelled titles and descriptions is probably the most well known and popular type of arbitrage on eBay. These opportunities exist simply because people don’t realise how important their auction title is to the success of their listing.

As we mentioned earlier, most people search for an item by entering keywords in the search box on eBay’s main page. What most sellers don’t realise is that eBay by default only searches the auction title and not the auction description as well. In order to search the auction description as well as the title the user has to use the “advanced search” option and check “search title and description”.

Very few people know of this “feature” and even fewer take the time to use it.

To give you an example, searching just titles for the keyword “Playstation 2” today returns 10576 items but searching for “playstation 2” in titles and descriptions returns 59879 items.

This is not to say that there are almost 49000 arbitrage opportunities with “playstation 2” as a large proportion of these will be genuine items that simply don’t have playstation 2 in the title, but it does prove that these opportunities exist and are there waiting to be found.

It really is a just a matter of common sense and simple maths; If a listing rarely gets displayed because the keywords in the title are misspelled then it simply isn’t going to a lot of bids. The fewer the number of bids, the lower the final price of the item is going to be!

So how do you use this information to your advantage, and profit? Just search the listings for items with misspelled keywords in the title.

An easy way to do this is to use a free search engine designed to highlight these arbitrage opportunities such as http://www.ebooboos.com but you can just as easily search the listings yourself for misspellings. http://www.searchspell.com/typo/ is a free website that will generate misspellings for you based on keywords you enter. For instance, entering “playstation” gave me the following misspellings;

playstatiom, playstation, praystatiom, paystation, plystation, plastation, playtation, playsation, playsttion, playstaion, playstatin, pleighstatiom, preighstatiom, pleighstation, pleighstaton, preighstation, preighstaton, pleighstashon, preighstashon, pleighstashun, preighstashun, pleighstasion, preighstasion, praystasion, playstaton, playstashun, playstashon, praystation, praystaton, praystashun, praystashon, playstasion, pleighstachun, praystachun, preighstachun, playstachon, pleighstachon, praystachon, preighstachon, playstachun, p1aystat1on, playstat1on, playstatino, playstatoin, playstaiton, playsttaion, playsattion, playtsation, plasytation, plyastation, palystation, lpaystation, playstatio, laystation

ok, some of these are going to be way off the mark (pleighstashon for example) but these will give you a good place to start.

You don’t have to search for each misspelling in turn, eBay allows you to use a sort of logical OR functionality in your searches by entering your keywords in parenthesis separated by commas, for example;

(playstatiom, paystation, plystation, plastation)

The only limitation here is that you must limit your entire search query to 300 characters.

Once you have found a potential arbitrage opportunity your next step is to investigate the typical final selling price of equivalent but correctly spelled items on eBay.

To do this you need to search the closed auctions for the exact same item as your potential arbitrage opportunity. Simply click “advanced search” from any screen, enter your description and check “completed listings only”. Checking this box will only return listings that have already ended allowing you to research completed auction prices for your item.

It’s important not to search for exactly the same title when researching completed prices, particularly if the item has something like a model or serial number in the title, just search for the most obvious search phrase.

(If you find you are getting irrelevant results just use negatives in the search box to search for items that don’t contain the word, for example “playstation 2 –controller” to search for all listings that contain the keyword “playstation 2” in the title but not the keyword “controller”)

When analyzing the completed items it makes sense to ignore any closed auctions where the final selling price is considerably higher than the others. It’s tempting to focus on these blips but these are exceptions rather than the norm so be sure to look at what the typical final selling price is, and base your potential final selling price on that.

You should always factor in the delivery charge into the final selling price of the item. A $20 item with a $5 shipping is essentially the same price as a $5 item with $20 shipping so when investigating your potential final selling price you need to take both figures into account.

Assuming you find equivalent items that sold on eBay at a price high enough for you to turn a profit you are in business. The only thing left to do is decide how much you are willing to pay for the misspelled item, including shipping then place your bid.

So the next question is when to place the bid?

If there are no other bids on the item then you should immediately bid the minimum amount, if there are already bids on the item then you should either wait until near the end of the auction to place your bid or use a sniping tool to bid in the dying seconds of the auction.

Why should you place a bid on the item if there are no existing bids? Simple. eBay only allows sellers to revise their items if there are no existing bids. If the seller realises he has misspelled a critical word in his auction and there are no bids then he can revise his listing and the arbitrage opportunity is lost. Placing the bid means the seller is locked into the auction.

This type of arbitrage is a numbers game – some you’ll win, some you’ll lose. There are lots of people out there searching for things like “playstaton”, “pearl neklace” or “camra”.

Cross Auction Arbitrage

Cross auction arbitrage is simple; you just look out for items on eBay that you can sell on other auction sites (or any internet site that allows you to sell items.)

For example, many computer games sell on eBay at prices below what their used equivalents sell for on Amazon.com. The secret to success here is to place bids on lots of items (once you’ve researched their Amazon prices) you’ll lose most but the few that you do win will make you a tidy profit.

Books are another potential cross auction arbitrage opportunity between eBay and Amazon.

Positioning

To explain how positioning works as an arbitrage strategy you need to understand the mentality of buyers and sellers on eBay.

When people are interested in either buying or selling a particular item they pretty much remain within their own specific market. For example, if you were a collector of antiques you would browse the “collectibles” categories looking for items to buy and likewise if you were a seller of collectibles you would list your items in the same category.

But as a seller there are other markets that are potentially open to you that many people just don’t think of capitalising on.

To continue with the collectibles example, there are people out there who may be more interested in the specific subject matter of the item rather than its specific collectibility. Take old signs, aside from their potential value to a collector, these signs may be of a higher value to someone looking for something nice to hang on their wall!

All that is missing is you in the middle buying the items as a collectible and re-listing as an object of art!

The secret here is to list the item in the more appropriate category using keywords and phrases that would appeal to your new market – not the current market.

Favourite Searches

Almost nobody on eBay uses the favourite searches feature, but for those of us interested in finding arbitrage opportunities, it’s a potential goldmine.

When you search eBay using keywords (the way most people search) and hit the search button you’ll be presented with a link at the top right of your results labelled “add to favourite searches”. When you click this link you’ll be taken to the “add to my favourite searches” page which allows you to save this search for future use.

Now this is where it gets interesting – check the “email me daily” box and you’ll get an email from eBay highlighting potential arbitrage opportunities as and when they are listed – you don’t even need to search!

Summary: It seems hard to get a website when you dont know about technology, and dont know where to go to get one. Hopefully its not going to be as hard as we anticipated.

I've been having a bit of a problem lately. As I've been working for an Internet company for a couple of years you might expect that I'd have my own website by now. I really wouldn't mind having one. As a creative writer it would be great to put up my books to sell, as well as advertise my skills for freelance work, and be able to put up my resume and portfolio. I even like the idea of making a few dollars by having items that I like, such as music albums or favorite novels that other people can then click on to buy through affiliate sites. The problem is this: There seems to be a barrier in my mind to taking the plunge into the Internet world. Today I've decided I'm going to get to the bottom of it.

First of all, I liken the acquisition of a website to any other service or product that one wishes to experience in this life. If I want to buy a book on the Internet, people will tell me to go to http://www.amazon.com. If I want to sell some old antiques my relatives left me, people will tell me to sell them on http://www.ebay.com. If I want to buy a good pizza I'll go to the place that my friends recommend in the local area. However, it seems that when I ask the question (and this is to my friends who are software engineers), 'How do I get a cool-looking website in a few minutes for as little cash as possible?' I get a wide range of answers that have confused me even more than when I started contemplating my own place on the Internet. 'Download software' is one answer that I don't like at all. When you want to buy music off the Internet people will tell you, 'Try http://www.itunes.com, http://www.limewire.com, or http://www.mp3.com.' Why can't people give me a specific answer? It's daunting when people tell you to just 'search Google', I mean the Internet is huge right?

That's one of the problems. People are busy these days. The age-old saying, Time is money' couldn't be more appropriate than in this Information Age that we are now inhabiting. We want and need simple solutions to our inquiries. Otherwise, we fear that we will be wasting valuable time that could have been spent working productively, instead of on fruitless Google searches that provide us with millions of links, none of which seem to be related to any company or brand name that you'd recognize. People want to hear a familiar, respected name like Microsoft, Sony Playsation, http://www.wikipedia.com, Apple Ipod, or http://www.myspace.com. That's another one of my blocks. I'd like to know that my fellow species believes in the product or service that I'm about to undertake in.

It's rare for me to read a camera manual and I don't want to spend my time adjusting lenses and light settings on old fashioned SLR machines. I'm the kind of person who would like to point the camera, push the button, and get quality photographs. Lucky for me the camera industry has evolved to fulfill my desires. Many people will admit that the Age of the Internet is in its infancy and that my expectations might be a little bit ahead of their time. My tech-friends however don't believe it. To them, making a website is as easy as eating Mom's apple pie. So, I've done a bit of research and discovered a couple of things.

It's now easy to get a blog online. Blogs are online journals, but now I realize that they can be used in many of the ways in which I would like my website to function. They are in all actuality a type of website. The simple fact that they are usually only one or two web pages is what differentiates them from other websites. There are lots of blog sites out there on the web (many of which are free) like http://www.blogger.com which has just been bought by http://www.google.com, http://www.spaces.msn.com, http://www.myspace.com, http://www.xanga.com/Default.aspx and http://www.typepad.com. Supposedly you can get a site on http://www.geocities.yahoo.com up and running in just half an hour using one of their templates to put all of your information/details into. You can make it so Yahoo isn't even mentioned in your domain name, so it looks more professional if you are hoping to do some business. Also check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog which has a list of links to where you can set up a blog.

If you are a freak like me and are one of the around three percent of people in the world who own Mac computers (oh why do people have to do things differently, and incompatibly?) then you can check out Apple's new website technology called IWeb. I don't know if it will work with Microsoft Windows systems but you should check it out anyway. In Apple CEO Steve Jobs' latest keynote presentation he showed how you can have a multi-page website capable of blogging, podcasting, storing and sharing music, photocasting, videoblogging, and more in a matter of minutes. Now this looks good to me, but can I make it into a commercial site? I don't know. The idea is great though. With simple templates you can make your site look individual and exciting, just by dragging-in and pasting cool pictures and sounds all through the pages. Does only Apple do this? Have others figured it out that we need simplicity when getting a site going? Steve Jobs explained that there are easy ways of downloading site-producing software on the Web, but that usually the sites created are boring and ugly. He said that you could make beautiful sites as well, but you'd need to know how to code html, in other words, be a tech-head.

People like me can be scared to start something new like having a website even though we hypothetically know the positive consequences that could eventuate from the venture. Our fears could be irrational and unfounded, but nonetheless they probably have some reason for coming into existence. Websites usually cost money (although many blog sites are hosted for free) and we don't want to waste our hard-earned paychecks having a site that does nothing for us. After you get your site we have to figure out the best ways to promote it, to bring in 'traffic'. Can we make money from it? Does having large banner advertisements limit credibility? How do we get connected to these affiliates who we can work together with to sell products? Does commenting in other people's blogs and leaving your URL bring people back to your site? You bet, as long as what you're saying is honest and relevant.

What's scared me into waiting to go online? In the past there have been too few simple, clear answers as to where to go to get the job done easily with an aesthetically pleasing result for techno-novices like myself. We fear loss of money in having a site that does nothing. We are concerned that we may waste time searching for the 'right' site-building software, and that there may be too many to choose from. So how do we know which the best are without many famous brand names and advertising? These are some of the stifling questions that stop a normal human being from going ahead with this opportunity that technically-savvy people never think twice about.

It seems that after doing more research that it may not be as hard as I anticipated, and the ironic thing is that it is usually the case. Experience leads to knowledge and wisdom. If we are too scared to act, then nothing gets done. We need to put our feelers out, ask people 'in the know', and search the Web. Still, I love it when things are made easy for me because of other people's hard work and helpful, generous sharing of information. Get on the Internet people! I'm going to give it a shot.

P.S. If you're a little more technologically aware, you can get your own web hosting space and then download these supposedly easy software templates to build your own site: http://www.sixapart.com/movabletype/hosting, and http://wordpress.org/.

First of Microsoft had the edge when the 360 was lunched way before Sony's PS3. Now when Sony's has launched PS3 it's a much more powerful console than the 360.

If you should compare these two very powerful gaming stations you have to see the whole experience not just the technical specifications. First we have to compare some technical specifications. The PS3 have a blu-ray and a support for full HD resolution which will result in very detailed games. It's a big difference of the storage on a blu-ray disc and a DVD disc. A blu-ray can carry up to 50gb and a regular DVD just 9 (Dual-layer). This will say a lot when it comes to the details that can be placed in the games. The HDD in the premium versions of the two consoles are a big difference 20gb on the 360 and 60gb on the PS3 this will do much I think. Another plus to the PS3 is that it support SD, Memory Stick and Compact Flash.

For the games, I will say that it's seems like you will have a much better experience on the PS3 when you are playing with full HD resolution and almost feel like you are in the game. For example the new Gran Turismo HD how would it feel to cruise around in a new Ferrari? It's like you now have your own! Xbox 360 has great games to like HALO 2 but you won't have the same experience since the game details can't be the same. Right now there are more games to the 360 but it will be much more to the PS3 soon. To the experience of these two game stations the PlayStation 3 will be the winner in 2007.
